The work equipment and means of protection put into service or used in facilities meant to receive workers are equipped, installed, used, adjusted and maintained in such a way as to preserve the health and safety of workers, including in the event of modification of this work equipment.
The employer shall provide the workers with the necessary work equipment, which is appropriate to the work to be carried out or suitably adapted for this purpose, in order to safeguard their health and safety.
In addition to the obligation to comply with the legislation, guaranteeing the safety of your employees and your stocks means that you must have your shelving checked and, if necessary, have maintenance work carried out by a specialized company.
Routine inspection is an investment for the company. Indeed, the respect of safety in the premises enables, beyond abiding by the standards in force, to ensure a better social climate in the company.
- check the correct assembly of the storage installations,
- check the conformity of the racks in relation to the stored loads,
- identify possible damages and estimate their seriousness,
- check the signage of the installations.
Users should be informed that damage will decrease the safety factors defined in the calculation and thus diminish the loading capacity…Collapse of the whole or part of the damaged rack is not necessarily instantaneous but may occur within a few hours or days...
A technically qualified expert shall perform checks at regular intervals of no more than 12 months. A written report, including observations and suggestions for necessary actions, shall be submitted to the person in charge of the safety of the storage tank systems.
- Compliance inspections are carried out before commissioning, whether for new or used installations.
- Periodic checks are conducted every 12 months.
Following the inspection, TandT Company provides you with a detailed report including a risk classification plan on three levels:
Low : minor identified damage to be monitored
Medium: need to repair or replace damaged parts without immediate unloading
High: immediate unloading and mandatory restoration
